J. Taylor is a member of the 33rd Infantry Battalion's Zulu Squad that appears in Spec Ops: The Line.

In The Line[]

Upon exiting The Gate, Delta Squad drop down onto Sheikh Zayed Road and come across J. Taylor and an unnamed civilian suspended from a street sign, with 33rd snipers prepared to shoot them. John Konrad informs Captain Walker that the civilian stole water, which is a capital offense, and that J. Taylor was sent to apprehend him, which he did, but killed the civilians entire family in the process.

The Colonel then asks Walker to decide who lives and who dies, leaving his fate in Walkers hands. Should Walker shoot the civilian, the snipers will shoot his rope, setting him free, and he quickly disappears over a nearby dune.

It is revealed at the end of the game that J. Taylor was long dead by the time Walker and his team arrived in Dubai.
