Vital Points are a key objective of the gametype Buried in Spec Ops: The Line multiplayer.
Vital points must be destroyed to reveal the HTV. They will take damage from rockets and explosives, and reduced damage from all other weapons fire. If a Vital Point is damage it can be repaired back to full strength. Once a Vital Point is completely destroyed, it will cause a sand avalanche and can no longer be repaired. There is a visual circle that will get shorter and change color as the Vital Point takes more damage. Allied Vital Points will pulsate the color blue, while enemy Vital Points pulsate in red.
